GOAL
Is to make sure that children living in poverty have access to English and computers to have the same job opportunities as students in wealthy families.

Why English language is important?

It is the language of science, aviation, computers, diplomacy and tourism. Last but not least, it is the language of international communication, the media and the internet. Whether it is for professional or personal reasons, understanding the importance of English will help you reach your goals.

In Cambodian legislation and indeed the country’s history, men and women have always technically had equal rights before the law. Women benefit from inheritance laws, wherein they can own property, they can “bring property into a marriage”, they can retrieve the said property if they decide to do so, and they can easily obtain a divorce. However, women in Cambodia still struggle with the wage gap, finding opportunities for higher education, gender-based violence and erasing stigmas and stereotypes.

Around 30% of the population in Cambodia lives below the poverty line. Poverty affects children significantly. More than 10% of children in Cambodia do not have access to education and roughly 44.8% (1.52 million) of children aged 5-14 are economically active.
